Thank you for installing Aksharamala 2004 Pro for Win32.

The purpose of this page is to give you a quick overview of Aksharamala functionality.

Test 1: Aksharamala requires that you have proper system components to display Indian Language text. Microsoft ships these display components with their Internet Explorer product. In the following sentences the one corresponding to the language you installed should be a readable sentence once Aksharamala product is successfully installed on your system.

Hindi: क्या आप इस वाक्य को पढ सकते है?

Telugu: మీరు ఈ వాక్యం చదవగలుగుతున్నారా?

Gujarati: ગુજરાતી

Tamil: தமிழ

Test 2: Now enable Aksharamala. You can do this by right-clicking on the Aksharamala icon and selecting the "Enable" menu item. Alternately, you can use the hotkey Ctrl+Shift+T to achieve the same.

You would notice that the Aksharamala icon in the tray changes to Enabled state as shown in the following picture.

Now, enter the following text exactly as it appears to understand how Aksharamala works: (As you type the text it gets transliterated to selected language)

Hindi: hindii me likhanaa ab aasaan ho gayaa!

Telugu: telugu lO vrAyaTaM ippuDu chAlA sulabhaM ayyiMdi!
Gujarati: gujaraatii
Tamil: tamiz
Test 3: Now go ahead and disable Aksharamala. You can do this either by pressing the Hotkey or right-clicking on the Aksharamala Icon in the tray, followed by selection of "Disable" menu item. Now, enter some text to ensure that Aksharamala is now disabled.
